We are coming to the end of July. Time really flies, isn't it? Today marks the 108 days after joining Adsense Guild and my first website is growing in all areas - content, visitors and revenue!

Yesterday, saw a report that said the unemployment rate in Singapore has gone up. Largely attributed to the influx of new graduates. Younger, and more energetic. Hungry for success. As for whether they are prepared to work at a lower pay with longer working hours, I am not so sure.
Now, it looks like the more senior you are, and you are not adding value to whatever company you are at, it is a certainty you will be replaced by someone more junior that is "cheaper". Employee loyalty is no longer valued in Singapore. If you know of any profitable company that is not interested in making more money, and more interested in hiring older people and paying them huge amounts of salary for not doing much work, let me know. I will gladly join them.
You do not have to wait for the day to come when you are given the pink slip to take action. You can start a profitable side business while you are gainfully employed. When it is a side business, you do not have the stress of it working out and earning you a salary that is comparable to your full-time job now.
When it does, you can either quit your job or enjoy the double pay.
